Thanks to Chris Baker, co-author of The Tale of Khun Chang Khun Phaen, who encouraged me to take responsibility to see that there was a Wikipedia entry for Sinxay, since as of a year ago there wasn’t anything. It’s easier said than done, and I worked with a young Italian fellow, Daniele Lombardi, I learned about on Elance. We started just about a year ago and it took several months. There are numerous protocols one must follow in writing a Wikipedia entry and Daniele was a master at knowing all the nuances of Wikipedia. I am extremely proud of the final entry, though there is no “final” in Wikipedia, as entries can always be edited and added to if there is a logical, well-researched reason. We will add our book once it gets published.
Anyway, the reason for this post is to share the recent statistics of visitors to the Sinxay entry. We are encouraged that there have been days when over ten different individuals looked up Sinxay, with an average of about five a day. I hope that bodes well for the successful release of our book!
